You can be sure no bacteria enter the stone surface because Totem Quartz has no cracks or pores on it and has almost zero water absorption, so no bacteria or fungi can penetrate and stay in the surface. Being environment-friendly and freedom from volatile toxic compositions, such as Styren and Btex, are another feature of Totem Quartz proven through tests conducted by the Italian Breton Stone.

The brilliance of Totem Quartz is measured by gloss meter and reads as a percentage of reflection of light on the surface . Using the most up to date polishing technology, the brilliance of Totem Quartz surfaces reaches 45 to 65 percent. Note that the polish in engineered stones is 3 to 4 times that of natural stones. The polish is also more durable than that of natural stones.

• Resistance to Chemicals, Stains, Heat, Scratches, Absorption

Totem Quartz surfaces will not suffer from warping, stains, paleness or cracks when exposed to heat. However, they must be kept away form direct flames.
